Israel’s Genocide in Gaza: Domestic, Regional, and International Dynamics

At this critical juncture of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the regional and global transformations it has produced, this edited volume provides a critical, extensive analysis of the genocide in Gaza as well as its ramifications. The various book chapters examine the domestic, regional, and international dimensions of the genocide while documenting the realities on the ground, especially given Israel’s barring of any independent investigation into its conduct in Gaza. In addition to chronicling the genocide, this volume seeks to document and critically analyze the political, corporate, and legal structures and global institutions that enabled it. Scholars from various disciplines bring different historical, political, and theoretical perspectives to the ongoing genocide in Gaza, situating contemporary mass violence in the history of settler colonialism and dispossession in Palestine as well as structural inequalities in the global system. Organized into six parts of 24 chapters, this book offers a comprehensive account of the genocide, while exploring pathways toward accountability, rehabilitation, reconstruction, self-determination, and a future for the region grounded in justice and lasting peace.
