Rami G. Khouri

Rami George Khouri has reported and published op-eds and analyses on the Arab region and its global relations since 1968. His last post was Journalist-in-Residence and Co-director of Global Engagement at the American University of Beirut, where he established the Issam Fares Institute for Public Policy and International Affairs. He has edited the Daily Star (Beirut) and Jordan Times newspapers, and received the Pax Christi International Peace Prize for 2006. He has taught or been a visiting scholar at the American University of Beirut, Northeastern University, Harvard, Mount Holyoke, Princeton, Syracuse, Villanova, Oklahoma, and Stanford, and is a Joint Advisory Board member at the Northwestern University Journalism School in Qatar. He was general manager of Al Kutba Publishers, in Amman, Jordan, where he wrote books and hosted a radio show on Jordanian archaeology. He has BA and MSc degrees in political science and mass communications, respectively, from Syracuse University.
