The Impact of the Gaza War on US Presidential Election

As the war in Gaza enters its sixth month, with over 31,000 Palestinians killed, the majority of whom are women and children, many Americans have been questioning President Biden’s policy toward Israel’s war on Gaza. Muslim and Arab American Democrats led calls to vote ‘uncommitted’ in Michigan’s presidential primaries and elsewhere to signal dissatisfaction with President Biden’s handling of the war and his refusal to call for a permanent ceasefire. In addition, the US has seen a shift in public opinion regarding the situation in Israel/Palestine and the Biden Administration’s support for Israel’s war on Gaza.

Arab Center Washington DC (ACW) and the Center for Contemporary Arab Studies (CCAS) at Georgetown University are organizing a webinar to discuss the impact of Israel’s war on Gaza and President Biden’s policy on the outcome of the 2024 US presidential election.
