Factsheet: Responses by Arab and Regional States to Events in Jerusalem

Events in Jerusalem since the beginning of Ramadan have elicited widespread condemnation from Arab and other states in the Middle East. Israeli occupation forces have attacked Palestinian worshippers at al-Aqsa Mosque and the city’s al-Haram al-Sharif compound, injuring and arresting hundreds. Police forces also at times forced Palestinians away from the compound so that Jewish worshippers would visit it. Israeli occupation forces also conducted attacks on Palestinian villages and towns in the occupied West Bank, which resulted in the killing of several Palestinian youths and the arrest of scores of others.

Algeria
