About the Webinar

Arab Center Washington DC is organizing a webinar to release and discuss the findings of the latest Syrian public opinion poll, conducted by the
Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies (ACRPS) as part of the Arab Opinion Index, surveying more than 3500 Syrians in July-August of 2025.

The webinar will present the survey findings, analyze their implications, and discuss the prospects for democratic and transparent governance and socioeconomic development in Syria. How do Syrians assess the situation in Syria and the current government after the fall of the Assad regime? What do Syrians consider to be the most important challenges and threats to Syria today? How do Syrians assess the government’s performance in terms of security, economic development, corruption, inclusive governance, and deterring external aggression? What do Syrians believe is the best path to achieve transitional justice? How do Syrians view democracy, Islamic governance, and the separation of religion and state? How do Syrians view and explain sectarian tensions and the importance of national identity, unity, and territorial integrity? How do Syrians view the Palestinian cause and calls for normalization with Israel? To what extent do Syrians view Israel as a threat to Syria and the region? How do Syrians assess the policy of regional and global entities like Russia, Turkey, Israel, France, and the United States? What are some recommendations for inclusive and democratic governance in Syria?
