About the Webinar
The results of the 2024 presidential election in the United States will inevitably shape the future trajectory of US foreign policy towards the MENA region and more specifically the war in Gaza. President-Elect Donald Trump has promised a shift in policy, but signaled no major change in US posture in the region. Arab Center Washington DC is convening a panel of experts to assess the implications of the election results, discuss the impact on the future of US foreign policy, especially in the Middle East and North Africa, and explore how a shift in leadership in Washington might influence US policy on Gaza and Palestine/Israel in general.
This post-election discussion will focus on how Trump’s second term may shape America’s global stance, especially concerning the ongoing Gaza war. The panelists will break down key campaign promises and policy proposals, outline expectations for American foreign policy under the next administration, and examine the implications for Middle East relations, global standing, humanitarian efforts, and ending the war. How will the second Trump administration approach Israel’s wars in Gaza and Lebanon, what might change in US-Israel relations and regional alliances, what shifts are expected in diplomatic or military strategies, and finally, what role will Congress play in shaping these policies?
