Speaker Bio:

Bader Jamous is the President of the Syrian Negotiation Commission. He defected from the Assad regime at the beginning of the Syrian Revolution and joined the opposition. He participated in the Antalya Opposition Conference and many other such conferences, including the National Syria Salvation Conference and the Consultative Meeting, which resulted in the establishment of the Syrian National Council. Jamous is a member of the General Secretariat of the Syrian National Council and Head of its affiliated Education Office. He is also the co-founder and former Secretary General of the National Coalition of Syrian Revolution and Opposition Forces, in which he also served as Chair of the coalition’s Higher Education Committee. Jamous was born in Tal Mineen in the countryside of Damascus and graduated from Damascus University with a degree in Medicine and an MA in international relations. He was Syria’s Honorary Consul in the Republic of Moldova for more than 10 years and was the Director of Foreign Relations at the Free International University of Moldova, and later the university’s Vice President. Jamous is the Head of the Board of Directors of Royal Varco Co., Moldova.
