Non-resident Fellows

Arab Center Washington DC (ACW) invites scholars interested in joining our team of experts as Non-resident Fellows.

Non-resident Fellows conduct independent research and prepare their work for publication on ACW’s website, social media platforms, and the weekly newsletter. Work prepared for publication is usually in the form of a policy analysis paper, and occasionally a long-form research paper. Scholars are paid on a per-paper basis for papers accepted for publication according to ACW’s guidelines and procedures. In addition to research and publishing, fellows will have the opportunity to participate in selected talks, panel discussions, and conferences organized by ACW.

ACW invites applications from academic faculty members, recent PhD graduates, and scholars at research centers whose work focuses on the same or similar thematic areas and priorities as our own. We are particularly committed to highlighting Arab voices and perspectives and encouraging applications from women and young scholars.

ACW is especially interested in scholars focusing on the following thematic areas:

  1. Human rights and international law
  2. Climate change and environmental justice
  3. Economic issues and oil and energy markets
  4. Education and development
  5. Weapons sales and arms trade
